The SVSF recognizes that excellence in education starts with educators. In an effort to provide teachers with the tools and resources they may need to excel in the ever-changing world, the SVSF focuses on funding leadership and educational enrichment programs for our most valuable resources – teachers. We rely on your contributions to provide teachers with opportunities to attend seminars all designed to improve their teaching methods and skills.

ALL Math Academy

New funding has been approved for the amount of $5,600 that will be used to provide new and additional training, by attending an academy by ALL Math Teachers at Mt. Si High School.  The new funding will be in effect the summer of 2011 and during the school year.

Summer Learning Academy

The SVSF underwrote the Summer Learning Academy 2008, in the amount of $12,500. This week-long program for teachers in the district is designed to provide all District educators with the opportunity to engage in a series of focused professional development classes,free of cost, prior to the beginning of the school year.

The SVSF is pleased to fund programs such as this which support the ongoing development of the professionals who make our district strong.
